The chateau Bezdružice was founded as a gothic fort in 1360 by knight Bušek. Later there were many different owners that were shaping it into a chateau. There are not many objects where so many artistic styles have been used as in Bezdružice. The Löwenstein family owning the chateau over 200 years rebuilt it into today’s form. The chateau offers at the moment then 3 thousand m2 of used area on about 3,5 hectares of land. The chateau consists of 3 connected buildings and 2 courtyards. The baroque gate leads to the 1st courtyard where near stands a tower with former chapel. Now a famous glass bethel is placed there. The chateau underwent a general reconstruction starting in 1999 and was again opened in 2004. Now this famous chateau features a modern Czech glass museum, theater festivals and other cultural events. There are beautifully equipped guest rooms, restaurant, 2 fully modern professional kitchens, wine cellars and spa.
